So today my awesomest boyfriend and I went to this guitar show in Vancouver and Bif was there briefly (unfortunately we missed her) and we got to meet with The Machine from Bif's new band Jakkarta. I got to talk to him and his wife about our dearest Bif (seeing as she was there bringing them bagels) and she is doing well.

She has two treatments of chemo left. It's making her very tired a lot and today was the first day she went out in 2 months. I am glad she is resting but she won't be for long! Her solo album and Jakkarta project are finished, she just needs to do the singing part. She'll be working on them after her 2 treatments are finished.

There was a display in honour of Bif for breast cancer awareness. I donated $20 and got a CD from one of The Machine's previous bands, and an autographed 8X10 photo.
The Machine is a really awesome guy. It was really nice to meet him and chat with him for a bit. Looking forward to the new stuff and to a healthy Bif!

yes! thanks for the update. i'm so happy to hear that Biffy is doing well!!! And also glad to hear that the albums are nearly done...although i wont get too excited because i know its definatly going to take time for her to lay down the vocals...and then even more time to get mixed properly...then more to release...and even more to release in the US (canada gets canadian releases first obviously). But yea...good news!

All I know is that the albums will be released this year, but not sure when. Maybe the fall.

That's great to hear...I guess it has been a while since the whole announcement...doesn't feel very long. It's a relief to hear some good news!
